Dog Fence Installation

After you’ve bought your brand new wireless dog fence, and reading some wireless dog fence reviews, you’ll need to set it up. But that manual looks pretty confusing. So of course you turn to the internet to solve all of your problems. I am here to help you with your problems. (Not all of them, just the one involving the wireless dog fence).

Before you even begin to read the manual on how to install your wireless dog fence, you first need to plan out the installation of the fence. I know, it sounds tedious and boring. But since you’re dogs life could very well be at stake here, you’re going to want to pay close attention. And whatever you do, do not skip this step simply because you’re impatient or bored. If you do so, you may just end up killing your own pet.

You need to figure out which dog fence is best for your dog. Believe it or not, but all dog fences are not created equal. Different dog fences are made for different dogs and dog breeds. Therefore, you should spend some quality time researching the many different brands of dog fences there are. You want to be sure that you are getting the right fence for your dog.

This next step is also pretty simple, yet a lot of people still fail to perform this menial little task. You need to mark where all of your underground utilities are. Since wireless dog fences are installed underground, you need to avoid all sorts of other electric cables, and water pipes when you are installing the fence. This is why prior to installation, you need to call your local utility company, and ask someone to come out and mark where all of the underground utilities for your house are located.

Just like with any other project, you are going to need a specific list of tools. For installing a wireless dog fence, you are going to need screws, a level, a ruler, a Philip’s head screwdriver, a wire cutter or stripper, waterproof water splices, and of course, a shovel.

Once you have complete all of the above tasks, you are ready to install your wireless dog fence.
